This week is the second annual National Pro Bono Celebration sponsored by the ABA Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service. According to the Celebrate Pro Bono website, “the Celebration is a coordinated national effort to meet the ever-growing needs of this country’s most vulnerable citizens by encouraging and supporting local efforts to expand the delivery of pro bono legal services, and by showcasing the great difference that pro bono lawyers make to the nation, its system of justice, its communities and, most of all, to the clients they serve.”
This is a great opportunity to celebrate the thousands of lawyers that provide free legal services to those that can’t afford them. To celebrate these lawyers and the work they do, we here at NBI want to say THANK YOU for your selfless hours and genuine compassion. You truly are making a difference with your pro bono services.
Also, we would love to hear your pro bono stories. What have your pro bono experiences meant to you? How have these experiences changed you?
